Introduction:
O’Reilly’s has always been a place where like-minded people could gather. With the Dark Sky Nights, we are expanding our offering to accommodate anyone interested in Stars, Astronomy, Night Photography, Constellations, Telescopes and generally a good time away from all the light-pollution.
On each Saturday closest to the New-moon the sky is at its darkest, creating the perfect chance to explore the Southern night sky. Combine this with crisp winter mountain air & high altitude for the best possible experience in the Scenic Rim.

5:45pm: Transport via 4X4 bus to location (Slaughterhouse or Rose & Joe’s) Participants have time to setup gear or explore the constellations guided with green laser by our guide, learn to setup a telescope and how to use it.
