At O’Reilly’s Campground, you can experience the Rainforest your way – by pitching a tent beneath the trees, setting up on a powered site, enjoying the comforts of a Safari Tent or gathering with friends at the fire pit by camp kitchen overlooking the McPherson Range. With modern amenities, open gathering spaces and direct access to the walking trails and adventures of UNESCO World Heritage–listed Lamington National Park, O’Reilly’s Campground offers a relaxed and well-equipped base to explore and get closer to nature.
What are the hours of the camp kitchen?
You can cook anytime between 7am and 9pm. Meals and Drinks are also available with Delivery (free for over $100 spend) from the Retreat Dining Room to the Camp Kitchen before 8pm everyday. See display in Camp Kitchen or see Reception for a QR code to place your online order.
What facilities are in the camp kitchen?
There are 2 x gas BBQ plates, a double gas cooktop, microwave, toaster, fridge, and zip hot water. You need to BYO everything – cooking pots & pans, utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Can I bring my own firewood for the fire pit?
Yes, you can certainly bring firewood from home or purchase some from the Cafe once you’re here. Please note: If there is a total fire ban in place for the region the fire pit can not be used. Fines do apply.

As a guest of the Campground, can I use the facilities at O’Reilly’s?
You are welcome to eat in the Dining Room or the Cafe, book a spa treatment at Lost World Spa and take part in our Discovery Program activities (charges apply). You can even book meals and activities packages when you make your reservation.
The swimming pools are exclusive for Retreat and Villas overnight guests, however there are plenty of natural swimming holes in the National Park surrounding the camp ground. You will need to walk to these locations but they are well worth it and super refreshing! Plus they’re free.
Is there a laundry?
There is a coin operated laundry at the Retreat. For more information and opening hours please enquire at Reception.
Can I bring my camper trailer or my Caravan?
The sites are designed for small/medium campervans or compact camper trailers only. Our larger sites are 7m x 7m so as long as your camper trailer can fit within that space when opened out you will be fine. There are no drive through sites so you’ll need to be good at doing a reverse park. You will then have to park your vehicle in the National Park car park which is just a short walk from the camp ground.

Yes, there are four Campervan powered sites available. No camp sites are powered currently.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is parking available, however there is only enough space for one car per site. Additional cars can come into the camp ground, unpack the car in the “unloading zone” and then head out to the National Park car park and take the very short walk back to the camp ground.
Can I put a gazebo in the grassed area by my campsite?
Yes, you can put a gazebo by your tent, as long as it doesn’t interfere with other camper’s space or view.
Can I play music over speakers in the Campground?
No – As a nature-based Retreat, we discourage the use of music in the Campground that can be overheard by other campers. We believe the vast majority of our guests come here to appreciate nature for all it presents for us to see, smell and hear.
No, we are surrounded by World Heritage listed Lamington National Park and there are to be no domestic animals or pets brought into the park. You will be turned away should you bring a pet.

All standard campsites are set on a compacted cracker dust base, while the Bushwalkers camping sites are located in the scrub and form part of the original Great Walk campsites, providing a more traditional bush experience. Site sizes vary, so please ensure you select a space suitable for your camping setup.

Our Campground offers 15 campervan and camper trailer sites, conveniently located throughout the grounds and designed exclusively for campervans and camper trailers.
A limited number of powered sites are available.
Please ensure your vehicle and setup fit within the selected site dimensions. As not all sites are completely level, we recommend bringing leveller ramps.
Our communal camp kitchen is a spacious with an open-plan cooking and dining area. It’s the perfect place to gather, prepare meals and enjoy the views.
Facilities include 2 x gas BBQ plates, gas cooktop, microwave, toaster, fridge and Zip hot water dispensers. Please note that guests are required to bring their own cooking equipment, utensils, cutlery and crockery.
Amenities Block
Our modern amenities block is designed for both comfort and convenience, featuring wheelchair-accessible bathroom facilities along with 9 toilets and 10 showers to accommodate campground guests.
This is the perfect place to gather at the end of the day, a place to unwind, take in spectacular sunset views and enjoy the warmth of an evening fire beneath the mountain sky. Toast a few marshmallows, share a story or two, and let the day wind down naturally.
Please bring your own firewood or purchase it from our Café prior to settling in for the night.
Community Hub
Created by repurposing the original shower block, the Community Hub is an intimate meeting space available for groups staying within the campground, great for small gatherings, workshops, planning sessions or just coming together out of the elements.
Enjoy a comfortable camping experience in our permanent fixed safari tents, featuring hard flooring, canvas walls and a private verandah. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed and a double/single bunk set, comfortably sleeping up to five guests — a practical option for families or small groups.
