A century is worth celebrating. In 2026, our family commemorates 100 years of welcoming guests to the mountain and sharing the kind of hospitality renewed through generations of visitors. Since 1926, we’ve grown from a humble guesthouse into Queensland’s longest-running family-owned ecotourism operator.
Expanding into our world-famous Retreat, Mountain Villas, O’Reilly’s Campground and most recently the eco chalets of Pat’s Farm—guided by our care for nature, community and the unforgettable moments created on top of the world. Join us throughout the year as we honour our history, raise a glass to the present and celebrate what comes next.

On a mountain above the heat and the hurry, our family learned hospitality the Australian way: pitch in, look after your mates, and leave the place better than you found it. We built tracks through the rainforest and welcomed strangers who soon felt like friends.
A century on, we’re still planting, repairing, protecting, and welcoming; because the mountain doesn’t belong to us; we belong to it. So come on up, breathe the cool air, slow your step, and settle in. We’ll take care of the rest, like we’ve done since 1926 and for the next hundred years.
