Bus Transfer to Binna Burra – Border Track Walk

Take the bus from O’Reilly’s to Binna Burra, then journey home on foot through the ancient heart of Lamington National Park. The 21.4-kilometre Border Track carries you through changing rainforest environments, beneath Antarctic beech trees and along elevated ridgelines with sweeping views across the ancient volcanic landscape.

This is a long but predominantly gentle walk, following mostly level and undulating terrain through World Heritage-listed rainforest. Allow approximately seven hours to complete the track.

Search for rainforest icons including Albert’s Lyrebird, Paradise Riflebird, Rufous Scrubbird, Eastern Whipbird, Green Catbird, Noisy Pitta and Australian Logrunner by day, with the option to extend your experience into the evening in search of nocturnal species such as Marbled Frogmouth, Barking Owl and Sooty Owl.
